Premier Credit Bureaus
There are three premier credit bureau agencies in the United States. They are Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Equifax is the largest of the three credit bureaus. TransUnion is the smallest.There are many credit bureau agencies in the country. Their function often is to collect, maintain and disseminate consumer credit-related information. The information can be used by a variety of people or businesses and for varying purposes.
Equifax, Experian and TransUnion are premier credit bureau agencies because most creditors and lenders submit their credit histories to one or to all of them. These three premier credit bureaus have active working relationships with many of the financial institutions in the country.
