Free Triple Score
Free triple scores refer to offers that provide consumers with free copies of their bureau credit scores. These free triple scores come from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion; the top 3 credit bureaus in the nation.Because each credit bureau operates independently, credit scores from each will in most likelihood also be different. It is common practice to make requests for free triple scores in order to compare for differences. Should differences appear on these bureau credit scores, consumers should investigate the discrepancies.
Most often triple scores refer to the credit scores provided by the three national credit bureaus. Each bureau has its own method with which it calculates its credit score. There are also alternative types of credit scores such as FICO credit scores and VantageScore.
Credit scores are an important indicator of a consumer's creditworthiness. Creditors and lenders use credit scores to evaluate an applicant's credit risk before extending and negotiating terms of credit. By seeing that one's triple scores are accurately calculated, it is possible to receive more favorable lending terms from lenders.
