Fico Score Range
FICO scores are a type of credit score. They are calculated using the FICO scoring model and either one of the two bureau credit bureau information stored at Equifax or TransUnion. Because each credit bureau has different information, FICO scores yielded may also be different.FICO scores range from 300 to 850. The higher the FICO score, the more creditworthy an individual is. A high score reflects responsible and disciplined credit management and this usually opens the doors for favorable lending terms.
The national average FICO score is 687. Consumers should aim to maintain scores above the average. The median FICO score is 723. This means half of the population has scores lower than 723 range and half have scores higher. Individuals that have scores higher than 723 are usually considered to have very good FICO scores.
