Credit Reporting Agency

There are three main consumer credit bureau agencies in the country. They are Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Equifax is the largest agency. Each agency collects, maintains and disseminates consumer credit information.

Each credit agency has its own credit score. The credit scores may differ, depending on how creditors and lenders report their data. If they report to all three agencies, then the information will be reflected in all three credit bureau scores. If not, then the information will show up with the agency which was reported to.
